Terms, cancellations
& refunds.

Paw & Margin is an enquiry-based custom digital pet portrait service. Please read this information before asking us to begin paid work.

1. Enquiries are not orders

This website provides information about digitally created pet portraits from a customer's authorized photograph. An email enquiry does not create an order or a payment obligation, guarantee that a request can be accepted, or reserve production time. No payments are processed through this site.

2. Agreeing the work

Before any paid work begins, we will confirm the scope, price and currency, timing, digital file format and delivery method, proof and revision arrangements, permitted use, and any applicable taxes or payment terms individually in writing. Only proceed when those details are clear and agreed. There are no fixed prices, turnaround guarantees or automatic purchases on this website.

If a proposed change affects the agreed scope, price or timing, it must be agreed before that additional work is undertaken. Physical prints, framing and shipping are not offered here.

3. Photographs and permissions

Only provide photographs you own or have permission to have adapted. Do not send sensitive personal information or images you are not authorized to share. Photo suitability is assessed individually; we may decline work that cannot reasonably be completed from the supplied image or within the requested scope.

You retain your rights in your supplied photograph. Permission to use it for the agreed portrait does not give us permission to publish it or the resulting portrait in a portfolio or advertisement. Public reuse requires separate consent. Any rights to use the final digital portrait are confirmed with the agreed scope.

4. Proof, likeness and delivery

Agreed portrait work includes a digital proof and likeness review before final delivery. Please raise concerns at that stage so they can be addressed under the agreed revision arrangements. Digital interpretation can change colour, texture and detail; the agreed scope should make the creative approach clear. No exact reproduction, arbitrary-photo capability or print-production suitability is promised by the website example.

The displayed graphic and ink image is a digital style study from a licensed demonstration photograph, not a customer commission. It uses photo-based image processing, not manual drawing or generative AI.

5. Cancellations

Email as soon as possible if you need to cancel. If paid work has not started, payments for that unstarted work will be refunded. If work has started, any charge for completed work must be consistent with the terms agreed before work began and applicable law; it will not be imposed as an undisclosed cancellation fee. We will explain the work completed and any refund due in writing.

Where local law gives you a cancellation or cooling-off right, that right applies. This website does not obtain consent to waive it. Any legally required request or consent to begin work during such a period must be handled separately before work begins.

6. Unfulfilled work, problems and refunds

If agreed work cannot be fulfilled, payments for unfulfilled work will be refunded. If you believe a delivered portrait does not meet the agreed scope, contact us with the concern. We will discuss the issue and any appropriate correction or refund in line with the agreement and applicable law.

Any refund due will be arranged through the payment method used where possible. Processing time depends on that method and provider; this website does not promise a fixed refund-processing period. There is no blanket “no refunds” rule for custom or digital work here.
